Now that things are moving towards solid-state media its going to be extremely important to find an effective (and hopefully affordable) archiving solution to replace the old-standby tape library. Check out this video from ProMax about Blu-Ray archiving. My only fear at this point is that blank Blu-Ray media is so pricey ($9.00 - $15.00 per disc for 25 Gb/single-layer media and $27+ per disc for 50 Gb/dual-layer media) but hopefully as more people adopt the technology it will drive prices down.
